Heller Productions was created by students doing favours for one another.

With zero-budget and no formal training in film production, Heller Productions was created by students with a passion for filmmaking coming together and using their different skills to create short films. Covering a wide variety of topics, from escaping the ‘friend-zone’ to stalking, FOMO, the mental health impacts of lockdown and even voyeurism, Heller Productions has created ten zero-budget short films over the course of three years.

Largely featuring unrepresented creatives, Heller Productions has striven to place undiscovered talent at the forefront of all of its projects, enabling students to collaborate while showcasing their individual skills. Created in the aftermath of the pandemic by Jack Heller in 2022, Heller Productions has made comedies, thrillers and dramas, as well a charity campaign for the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show and an advert for the clothing brand, Tuesday Limited.
